Sola St. Augustine Grass Plugs are individual turf plants grown in trays. They are small clumps of grass that can be used to repair damaged areas of lawns, fill in patches of bare soil, trial a new grass type, or even start a new lawn. Sola St. Augustine Grass Plugs are relatively inexpensive and easy to plant, and they grow quickly enough that you won’t have to wait long before they look good in your lawn.
Our 72-count plug trays can cover up to 72 square feet when spaced 6–18 inches apart on center. For quicker ground cover, plant each plug closer together. Each plug is 1.25 inches long x 1.25 inches wide x 2 inches tall.”

It's important to note that your plugs are living plants. After receiving the package, unpack the plug trays from the box right away. Some slight discoloration from lack of oxygen and sunlight during shipping may occur. Place the trays in a single layer and water the plugs immediately. We recommend planting your grass plugs as soon as possible but don’t worry if you can’t get to them right away, keep them moist until you are ready to plant them. For planting details click here.
Love these plugs!
I’ve ordered 6 flat total over several shipments and the always arrive in excellent shape. They are super health and vigorous growers. I always plant as soon as I can after arrival and haven’t lost a single plug. I highly recommend their plugs!!!!
Excellent!
Excellent way to patch some sparse spots on my existing lawn! The plugs arrive super healthy and with the auger and a drill they are easy to plant. I’ve ordered several times and all the plugs are thriving.
Great plugs
Received plugs quickly and all were in excellent shape. Plugs have 6 to 8 inch runners already. Will be ordering some more soon.
Good so far
I ordered 3 x trays of Sola St Augustine. The previous owners in my ~1 acre lot in a Raleigh, NC suburb installed strips of Raleigh St Augustine, and I haven't been able to find Raleigh plugs until discovering Sola. It looks like it was developed by NC State as an improved Raleigh variety. After very poor weather after applying some pre-emergents and post-emergents, I had a tough season coming out of dormancy with only about 50% recovering. I'm hoping to keep ordering these plugs to fill in the damage.
Owner
Plugs were received in excellent condition. Are doing really well since transplanting. I planted some where we just took out a large tree and the stolons are really running
It’s spreading
Placed the plugs in bare spots. I live in south Mississippi and it’s hot. Now got runners so far so good.
Sod plugs growing well
The Sola St. Augustine grass plugs are growing well at 30 days after planting. Will see how they survive the summer heat of Georgia.
Sola St Augustine + Great Service!
Around June, I purchased and Planted over 500 Sola St Augustine Plugs in a semi shaded back yard in Raleigh, NC. They have spread like crazy and are filling in beautifully. I’ve had several questions along the way about fungus, weed control, and moles. Sod Solutions has provided thorough answers to all of my questions. Could not be happier. I don’t normally write reviews, but this one deserves one. Thank you!!

I’m delighted with how well the St Augustine sod plugs are doing.
