It's important to note that your plugs are living plants. After receiving the package, unpack the plug trays from the box right away. Some slight discoloration from lack of oxygen and sunlight during shipping may occur. Place the trays in a single layer and water the plugs immediately. We recommend planting your grass plugs as soon as possible but don’t worry if you can’t get to them right away, keep them moist until you are ready to plant them. For planting details click here.
Citra Blue Plugs
We installed 1 tray of the Citra Blue plugs about 5 weeks ago with the Soil Moist granules. The plugs arrived quickly and were in great shape and even though we have not been able to water as regularly as we'd like they are thriving and looking great.
The Plugs took root!
I'm pleased with how the plugs took root, the fertilizer really helped.
Delivery
Great product and they are growing well. A little slower than we expected but that's OK. Only problem was the delivery of second order. We live in south Florida and daytime temps are brutal. Left note with tip on door to covered screened porch to have delivery driver leave box of plugs on porch. They would be out there for several hours. Instead the box was left in driveway upside down about 2 feet from note and in full sun.
super pleased
i only ordered one flat of Citra Blue plugs to see if they would survive and grow. i have to say that every single plug, even the two that were on the small side, have made it and are doing well!!! they have a beautiful color and look really healthy so far. can't wait to see how they look at the end of the growing season, and plan to order more soon!
Citra Blue Plugs Zone8a
Very happy with my purchase. I live in zone 8a and had over 1,000 plugs delivered as I transition my lawn from fescue to St. Augustine. The plugs came very fast and with minimal casualties. Customer service was exceptional when FedEx forgot a few boxes. They were already in transit when I reached out to customer service. Will likely use Sod Solutions again as I transition my lawn!
Grass Plugs
The grass plugs I bought arrived in PERFECT condition and some of them even had runners already. My yard guy said each one was like a miniature lawn. For the first 3 days, my crazy cat dug some of them up, but I stuck them back in the ground and, even after that abuse, they are still in great shape. They're all growing and spreading. They have exceeded my expectations.
Great product
It was a great experience from the time of ordering, to receiving the plugs, to the ease of distribution of the plugs in our yard. All the plugs arrived in great condition and are filling in our bare spot beautifully. Thanks for a wonderful experience !!
Property Manager
These Sod plugs are just what I need to speed up repairs to smaller bare spots in the lawn. They are a quick and simple solution.
Too fragile
When I received the plugs they looked excellent, almost too good, and here is what I think is the problem. All of the runners were all intermingled with each other. Because the plugs are so small, the only way to get them apart was to cut them. Cutting them severely stresses them, and probably why the look so bad now. Have they rooted? Yes. But after 3 weeks most of them have yet to recover from the stress of being cut. I am hoping they will survive. It would be better if the plugs were the standard 3" x 3" size, and weren't all grown in together, these little plugs are too fragile.
Very small and fragile plugs (1 inch x 1 inch)
Good news, they ship fast, healthy and in one small container. Bad news they are very tiny delicate grass plugs 1x1 plugs. I would prefer 3x3 plugs as I would have more confidence in them living and they would start covering much faster.
