Turf Saver® RTF® is a blend of top performing fescue varieties and has the ability to repair itself through the development of rhizomes. Turf Saver is a great fescue grass perfect for any lawn. This grass has a high wear tolerance and performs well in direct sun.

Our 50 lb. bags include one option for Yellow Jacket coating which coats all the seed with a specialized fertilizer which helps the seed establish quicker and healthier.

For overseeding, apply 4–5 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. (50 lbs. covers 12,500 sq. ft.)

For new lawns, apply 6–8 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. (50 lbs. covers 8,300 sq. ft.)

  1. Soil Preparation: Clear the area of weeds, rocks, and debris. Loosen the top 2-3 inches of soil to create a welcoming bed for the seeds.
  2. Fertilize: Apply a starter fertilizer like the Lawnifi New Lawn Starter Box to the soil to ensure the seeds have the nutrients they need to grow.
  3. Seed Distribution: Spread the seeds evenly across the soil. For large areas, consider using a mechanical spreader; for smaller patches, hand-spreading can be effective.
  4. Soil Coverage: Gently rake the area to cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil, which helps retain moisture and protect the seed.
  5. Watering: Keep the seeded area moist with light, frequent watering until the seeds germinate and the grass begins to grow. Water every day in the early mornings.
  6. Post-Care: Continue fertilizing with the Lawnifi New Lawn Starter Box for the next 30 days.
