Lawnifi’s Fall Fertilizer Box: Product Profile

Fall is right around the corner and the summer season is coming to a close! A few things you can start expecting are falling temperatures, breezy weather and leaves that are changing color. With changing temperatures also comes changing soil conditions. As a result, your lawn’s nutritional needs will change with each season. For example, as cooler temperatures start to occur, your grass needs a lot of root growth to help it survive underground while the grass blades endure dropping temperatures.

Sod University recommends the LawnifiTM Fall Fertilizer Box, a liquid fertilizer with a unique blend of nutrients that serve to help your lawn recover from the hot summer temperatures and prepare for the colder temperatures ahead.

The Lawnifi Fall Fertilizer Box

The Lawnifi Fall Fertilizer Box is a part of the Annual Fertilizer Subscription, but can be purchased separately as an individual seasonal box. The Fall Fertilizer Box comes with three bottles of liquid fertilizer: one bottle of Boost, one bottle of Maintain and one bottle of Recover.

With its 30-0-0 formulation, Boost is designed to revitalize the green leaf blade color in your lawn after the stressful heat of summer. Boost also has a slow-release formula that allows it to keep feeding your lawn nitrogen over a six-week time frame. To learn more about fertilizer formulations, read How to Read a Fertilizer Label.

Maintain, on the other hand, is a 16-0-4 formulation that works to fortify your lawn with potassium, amino acids and carbon. Use Maintain in the fall to make your lawn thick and to help with color retention into the cooler months ahead. Maintain’s other function is to fortify your root system, as mentioned in an earlier example at the beginning of this blog, so that the grass survives cold or even freezing temperatures in the winter.

The final bottle of the fertilizer box, Recover, is a 13-0-0 formulation, but is also packed with micronutrients like manganese, iron and sulfur used to give lawns the nutrients needed to fight through seasonal and environmental stress. Recover is also used in the Fall Fertilizer Box to help your lawn prepare for winter dormancy or stressful, cold temperatures. Application Schedule

The Lawnifi Fall Fertilizer Box comes with three separate bottles of fertilizer that should be applied throughout different times in the fall. You will start by making a full application of Boost. Simply hook Boost up to your garden hose end and spray evenly across your lawn. Each bottle of Lawnifi covers 5,000 sq. ft. This application should take place within the first weeks of fall.

Four weeks after this application of Boost, you should follow up with an application of Maintain. This application should take place around mid-fall. Application instructions should be the same as the application instructions for Boost.

Lastly, you will make an application of Lawnifi Recover in the late fall by hooking it up to the end of your garden hose for an even spray application again. Be sure to pick up where you leave off this fall with the fertilizer schedule for spring.

Why Lawnifi?

Lawnifi is efficient, effective and easy to use. Powered by Catalyst TechnologyTM, Lawnifi is a carbon-based fertilizer program that maximizes plant uptake and nutrient availability to help improve soil structure and enhance the growth of microbial populations. As a liquid fertilizer, plants don’t need to break Lawnifi’s nutrients down like they would with a granular fertilizer. Catalyst Technology nano-sizes Lawnifi’s nutrients so that more of them are absorbed through the roots and leaves. Since Lawnifi nano-sizes its nutrients, larger amounts of nutrients are delivered to plants. The amount of product that needs to be applied is significantly reduced while using 80 percent less nitrogen and yielding better results. Read Why is Carbon Important to Your Lawn? for more information on the importance of microbial populations. Another Sod University blog, Get Your Lawn Drinking Its Nutrients, contains more information on the benefits of using a liquid fertilizer.

Lawnifi is a lawn fertilizer, but it can also be used on flowers, trees and shrubs. Each easy-to-apply bottle of fertilizer hooks up to the end of your garden hose for an even spray application.
