How to Use Bifen XTS
Bifen XTS is an oil-based formula with water resistant, long lasting residual control that lasts for up to 90 days. With that being said, you will not need to apply this product often. This product was designed as a professional grade concentrated termiticide and insecticide that also controls over 70 types of bugs, insects and other pests.
As a liquid insecticide, Bifen XTS needs to be mixed in a spray tank. A single quart bottle will cover between 106,000–458,000 sq. ft. The application rate will vary depending on the type of insect you are trying to control, but it is typically between 0.07–0.30 fl. oz. per 1,000 sq. ft. as stated on the product label.
How to Use Bifen L/P Insecticide Granules
As a professional granular insect control product, Bifen L/P should be applied with the use of a broadcast spreader to your lawn, flower garden, flower bed, along perimeters and foundations of homes and other structures, around mulch beds and along fence lines, decks and around decking areas.
A 25 pound bag will treat between 5,000–17,000 sq .ft and protects areas of application for two to three months. This can be safely applied without harming other animals like birds, pests and other mammals. The application rate inside of your broadcast spreader will depend on the type of insect you are trying to control, but it is typically between 1.15–4.6 pounds per 1,000 sq. ft. as stated on the product label.
Be sure to walk backwards as you apply this so that you don’t walk through the Bifenthrin that’s in your yard.
The active ingredient, Bifenthrin, that is found in both the Bifen XTSand Bifen L/P products are commonly used in lawns and gardens or other residential and commercial outdoor landscapes. Be sure to read the product labels thoroughly before application.
